Proceeds from all GIT Rockin’ ticket and band voting sales will go to the United Services Organization of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro).

United Service Organizations (USO) is chartered by Congress to meet the human service needs of the United States Armed Forces personnel and their families. The USO’s mission is to ensure the welfare of the men and women of the Armed Forces.

USO-Metro’s geographic service area includes Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia, a region with one of the largest concentrations of United States military personnel in the world. USO-Metro operates six Family Outreach Centers in the metropolitan Washington area, as well as three USO Airport Lounges.

USO-Metro administers several programs and services to local military and their families, including TICKETLINE, Emergency Housing and Food Assistance Programs, Job Fairs, Guide to Washington and Baltimore, Holiday Programs, Hospital Visits, and Orientation Programs.
